need some assistance. got a left hander who bought a jigsaw and wants some good backend reaction from it. bowls mainly on wood/cheap guardian.
specs:
high track
slow to light medium speed
low rev rate
usually plays down the boards

thinking of this layout:
50* x 4", pin up

figured he could play in the oil a little moe, and let the ball rev up quicker, but still give him solid reaction down lane.

he wants decent length, but his main concern is the backend reaction.
his pap is around 5 1/4. can't remember exactly off the top of my head.

when you say 2.x", are you referring to the distance of pin above the fingers? or the pin buffer? just want to make sure i am understanding you correctly.

thinking i will go with maybe 4 1/2 x 3, with pin up. figure i would  kinda split the two layouts you normally use and i can always alter surface if i need a little more length. he will have to realize that he will need head oil for this layout and not nail the dry too early.

that layout sounds fine to me.

since hes a high tracker i wouldnt go past 50* on the first angle. Mo says on the website if hes a true high tracker not to go past 70* but if his rev rate is low then i dont think its a big deal to go to 50*

just keep the pin up on it to close the angle on the val  with the pin distance between leverage and 4 1/2 and it should work fine, i think.

but you dont have to listen to me. i dont drill balls. i just have WAY too much time on my hands

May need to add some polish as well. The oob finish for me rolled early and finished so so. Drilled pin cg and mb all at about 5.5" pin above the right finger.

Added some polish to mine, the ball gets through the heads a little easier turns left and never stops.

Even with the polish this ball is a beast in oil.
