Title: explanation please
Post by: Big Jake on April 01, 2012, 08:12:42 PM
Hello,
A question for right handers: putting the pin over the middle finger as opposed to the ring finger what would the ball do?

Would it turn in a little later or earlier? Thanks

It isn't about where the pin is in relation to the grip....it's where the pin is in relation to the PAP.  Pin over the middle finger is further from the PAP than ring finger, so it would TEND to go longer.  However if you track high you would be putting the pin in your track...this could make the ball very stable and roll pretty awful.

PAP is what you are looking for...not in relation to finger holes.

Big Jake, if you need more info on what the PAP is or other related bowling terms, check out the Unofficial BR FAQ.
