Pin above the bridge works wonders for me.  The amount I kick the CG or MB depends on the reaction I want out of the ball.

pin in ring finger cg in different places for fine tuning as neeeded.

I have an inverted ball track and this best for me. it was my sweet spot according to a ebonite ball rep. and it works well on symetricals more so than any other drilling.

5 inch pin to pap or 2 inch pin to pap is on most of my stuff. Anything stronger pukes out on me unless the cover is pretty weak.

Don't got one.  On those rare few occasions ( ) when I drill a ball, I'll do so to achieve a particular reaction, and this desired reaction will dictate the layout that I choose.

Pin above ring finger CG kicked out and Mass Bias on VAL, Seems to give me a VERY good Mid-Lane read and a ton af backend (This being my Particle ONLY drill).

For Reactive I will use basic Stacked Leverage

pin next to and even with the bottom of the ring finger---cg swung just enough towards the center of grip to avoid a balance hole.

I have tried several, but I have found that I like it best when the pin is at leverage.

MY 315 ball has the pin at leverage.  So is my stacked, and my label drillings.

Who gives a rat's *** where the holes are with respect to your finger holes? That has zippo to do with bowling. When are any of you going to realize that?

Charlie, I'm shocked assuming I read this reply correctly. You're suggesting (?) that drilling pattern has no influence on ball reaction? In that case, how about pin-axis for everything? I've learned, for example (through long, expensive, often painful) experience that pin above ring or at 1:30 to ring (i.e., 4.5-5" pin-pap, high rg) works best for me for a late midlane flare read with energy retention on the backend. I've also learned I prefer the 'look' of low Rg balls in spite of their downside of losing cleanliness through the heads in many instances. I think that's the general gist of this thread ...

I think he is talking about the pictures... the pictures do not state the PAP or track or basically any information on the bowlers themselves so we really don't know how the ball is going to react...that's sort of why I gave mine a name..Label Leverage...although I would like to use a few new drillings.

Maybe charlest's saying that the important thing is the pin/mb distance with respect to your PAP?  Whereas most of the reply we have so far, they only say where the pin/cg/mb are in relation to their fingers holes.
