Favorite Drill

I just recently started trying to learn about laying out a ball so I can start laying out my own equipment and was wondering what was your favorite drill or drills. Like pin to PAP, MB location, degree of layout, those sort of things.

Details about me in my profile. A very successful drilling on both symmetrical and asymmetrical cores for me is something like pin to PAP of 4 1/2", CG/MB stacked, normally with a 3-4" pin. Give sme very good lengthz with my lower speed, but a strong breakpoint and "enough" back end.

I have had this on at least 4 balls, and they both worked very well for me from oily to medium-dry conditions, depending on the coverstock base and surface prep (used this on polished and sanded balls). But if in doubt and without pro shop support, I'd try this on almost anything except total oil and toast balls, which would surely need a better match in drilling.

On Symmetricals:
For playing direct:  5" pin to PAP 3 inches above the midline.  Flare decreasing hole 2" inside of the VAL on anything with a diff above .040

For opening up the lane/playing inside: 4" pin to PAP 1 1/2" above the midline, x-hole 2 " below PAP on the VAL

On Assymetricals:
For playing direct:  6" pin to PAP, 3 1/2" above the midline, MB at 75 degrees, no x-hole

For Opening up the lane/playing inside:  4 1/2" pin to PAP 1 1/2" above the midline, MB 60 degrees, x-hole 2" inside PAP

pin next to ring finger, cg swung towards center of grip, no balance hole. i can play any line with this drill by using the versatility of speed control, changing hand positions, etc.
