So I have had a recurring problem if dropping the ball in my backswing about 40% of the time. This caused me to grip and muscle my swing. I double checked my pitch, 3/16 reverse. So, I made a change.
Zero - To my surprise I still dropped it. At this point I am a bit shocked and decided to go a bit further.
1/8 Forward - Perfect. No grip in the ball at all, relaxed hand and came out of gate with a 278 first game ever with a forward pitch in the ball.
Incredible.

some people say that all it takes is a small change in pitches. i've been at 3/8 reverse for 5 years. just no reason to change.

Glad you found the right combination of pitches. What are your spans? -- JohnP
