Finding top weight and CG on plugged balls
« on: May 23, 2008, 01:31:15 AM »
I've done this before with new balls, verifying the information on the box, but it's been a long time and can't remember exactly how I did it, nor find the stuff I had printed out.

I think I know to just use the info from the Lane#1 site to find the CG.

For finding top weight, is that measured by using the pin or CG as a reference point?

The CG is where you measure the weight from. You can find it using Lane #1's method. You'll need a starting point, so I would start near your PAP.

Once you find it, you'll need to use the method to weigh it. If the ending CG is on the top of the ball (grip side), you'll read it to be top weight. If it's on the bottom half of the ball (6 3/4+ from the center of your grip), you read it as bottom weight.

Hope this helps. =:^D
