Title: Finger hole depth
Post by: Long Roller on October 06, 2006, 02:51:23 AM
If you had 2.6 oz of top and 3 3/8" pin...How deep would you drill the fingers if the cg was 1" up and 1" right of the midline by rule?  61/64 drill bit.  I want the ball to be as strong as possible in the stacked position.  I really don't want to hear "buy a scale".   I'm just looking for a general answer.

I don't see a need to drill any deeper than necessary to install grips. With 2.6 oz top weight you'll end up perfectly legal with standard drilling.

Greg T is right if the cg is marked correctly and the top weight is correct.  But since you don't have a scale and don't want to get a pro shop to weigh it for you, I would suggest drilling the RF hole 1" extra deep.  That will take out enough side and finger weight to be sure it's legal unless the cg and/or top weight are grossly incorrect.  --  JohnP
