Title: finger pitch
Post by: JohnN on November 17, 2011, 09:58:51 AM
The last 2 years I have developed what looks like a bruise under the nail in my ring finger. I would not call it painfull but it can sometimes be uncomfortable. I think it may be due to loss of flexibility in the tip of that finger (due to aging). Could I change the pitch of that finger only or would both have to be changed ?

Yes pitch the finger away from the center of the grip....do you use grips? If so add about an extra 1/8-1/4" if so

I had same issue about 5 years ago. Initially I thought ring finger span was too long and nail was pressing against back of hole. Kept shortening ring finger span to a point it caused me to pull a tendon. After talking to my Ebonite Rep, she had same thing happen to her. Ended up lengthening ring finger and going from 1/4 reverse to 3/8 reverse and have not had bruising or pain since.
