Good afternoon,
For the past few years I have been having a recurring problem with my release creating a blood blister under the nail of my middle finger. I had a terrible time figuring out what was causing this and I have finally determined that at the point of release, my fingers push outward (in the direction of the nail), pushing on the back of the finger hole, thus creating the pressure causing the pain and blister under my finger nail.
I used to use 3/8 reverse on both fingers. I am now down to 1/8 reverse and it has gotten better, but every now and again, it still hurts. At this point, I am quite hesitant to bring the pitch back to zero or even forward.
I am hoping someone out here has either seen or had this problem and could relay how it was corrected.
