Arsenal for the Miller High Life Masters
« on: September 06, 2004, 10:51:35 AM »
hey all, I'm going to be doing the PBA Miller High Life Masters and also joining the PBA regional tour in the midwest.  Here is what I am going to drill up now and wanted some opinions if anybody has any:

My Pap is 4 5/8 right and 1/2 down.  My axis tilt is 2 1/4 degrees.  I have pretty decent speed and a mediumm revrate.

Goliath-Either pin next to ring with cg stacked below so around 3 3/8 stacked or maybe something else not sure on this one yet.
Track Rule-2 1/2" pin to pap distance, 5 1/4"mb to pap distance and the pin 1 3/4 up from midline.
Triple Xtreme-4x4 stacked
Bully-5" pin to pap, 3 1/4" mb to pap, and pin 1 3/4 up from midline.
Uranium-Label leverage
Intense Inferno-5 1/2 pin to pap, pin above the ring, cg kicked out a little bit but not much probably about 1/2 to 1".
v2 Sweet-Pin above and right of ring, cg basically underneath about 1/2-1" from grip center.
Columbia Wild-pin above and next to ring with cg in about 1/4-1/2 inch.

Ike--I'm not a layout drilling expert by any means but most of the equipment you've listed are all pretty strong covers and hooking type equipment.  I haven't bowled in any regionals but have attended a few and have seen many players using weaker balls than you've listed along with pins below the fingers w/shorter pins CG's kicked right a bit along with what I would term a drag or weaker release to control the ball midlane ala Steve Jaros who is one of the dominant players in the midwest region.

I'd post in the midwest region/PBA forum and ask this question.  Hopefully you'd get some help from that region's players.

if you plan on bowling any regionals in the central region, you'd better have some tame equipment......they are usually hooking alot!
