It's opinion time! What layout do you like to put in your heavy oil ball and why?
I'm recently returning to bowling from a bit of a break, and I'm rebuilding an arsenal. I'm sorely tempted to put my favorite control layout (60*x2x50*) in an Idol as my top end ball (for now). My only concern is that a lower flare layout might waste some of the potential of the ball. Thoughts?
In case it matters, I'm 16 mph downlane and decently high rev rate from being two-handed.

Heavy oil assym, I'm going with 50*5*30 and some surface.
Heavy oil symmetrical, either 4*20 or 5*65.
Remember, surface is key to get it to slow down enough. I'm looking to put a Sumo SE with the 4*20 and 2000 and the Contiuum 50*5*30 oob.

You should also consider length in the discussion. You will get a total different suggestion for heavy oil for 35 feet versus heavy oil for 45 feet.
