How often does everyone get refitted? I'm having issues and think its time been a few years.

I went through years and years of trying to get shops to re-fit me and the would all just kinda look at how I threw the ball and say my fit was fine. I knew my fit felt like crap for years. Finally I took it upon myself to get my fit straightened out and used the wiki fit on Bowlingchat and made some slight changes and couldn't be happier. Everyone makes comments about how short my span is but I love it and couldn't go back to being stretched out if I wanted to. I pick up one of my old balls and can't believe I was ever even able to throw it like that....Not surprised my middle finger started hurting before I changed spans....BTW I shortened it about 1/2". Sad that so many pro shops thought it was fine that I was so stretched.

I say do it. It took me about 15 games to get used to it and now I could never go back....I honestly think surgery might have been a good possibility if I would have stayed with the long  much longer.

I am looking at it now, I think it might just be thumb pitches.

When I start getting sore spots on my fingers or as I lose flexibility.  Had to have my fingers re-drilled because I lost felxibility in my fingers.  Found myself grabbing the ball all the time.

I work in a pro shop and I recommend definitely if something doesn't feel right then obviously yes get it looked at. I myself hadn't worked on my grip in years and when I started working there i tried multiple things. I widened my span and changed my pitch and I have never come out a ball cleaner and it increased my rev rate as well. If nothing feels wrong I would still recommend maybe every other year just talk to your pro shop guy and have him double check everything.
