The idea of "off setting" the thumb from an original centerline started way back with Brunswick "I think Brunswick even patented the drill. This was back in the 1940's or 50's. It's original name was "Brunswick Offset". This idea has been used since then by some ball "guru's" touting this as something new and original. It's been reinvented many times and just as many times it's been debunked and fades away. Just forget about it, its not worth spending any time with it.
