After many many years of drilling we relatively recently found out that it is the PIN distance from the PAP that changes the amount of track flare and that changes how the ball will react to the lane conditions. And again relatively recently have a real reason why pin up balls react differently than pin down ball. My question is, what is ultimately the defining factor in relation to the MB placement. Is it the distance of the mb mark on the ball to the PAP? Is it the distance from the track? Is it the drill angle from the PAP to the pin to the PAP(morich dual angle)? Or is it something else? What is the end all be all reason the MB position does what it does?
