May be a stupid question, but, I'm just curious.  Why do some balls have drilling markings (measurement lines, etc.) on them after they are drilled?  It almost looks like the lines are scratched into the surface.  No offense to anyone who has these markings, but, they look bad (IMO).  Why would a driller do this?  Again, just curious...
