Title: Full Roller Layout Help....
Post by: Monster Stitch on March 15, 2013, 09:23:02 PM
Hello all! I wanted to ask you guys what is your way of laying a ball out for a full roller. Beside putting the pin at 45 degrees, do you guys measure from the center of the pin down 3-3/8 to get the center of span or do you just put the CG in the center of span no matter what length the pin is. I always do the first one. What are the pros and cons of just putting the CG in the center of span? Please let me know. Thanks.

Moving the pin towards the center of the span is going to have a similar affect as moving the pin further from your PAP for a normal layout and moving it further from the center of the span is similar to having the pin closer to the PAP....the 45 degrees (some use 35) is used to keep the ball from flaring over the gripping holes. The 3 3/8" from center of grip is used to maximize flare potential as a lot of full rollers want maximum flare potential.
