Title: Full Roller Layout Question?
Post by: Mike E on February 16, 2007, 10:38:47 AM
Has anyone tried putting the pin in the center of the grip or say 1" to grip center? What was the reaction like? I have drilled lots of stuff with the pin to grip center anywhere from 2" to 3&3/8". I would like to cut the reaction down some and was wondering if anyone had tried 1" or less to grip center?

                                Thanks,
                                Mike E

If you put the pin 1" from center of grip you will reduce the flare and the overall reaction.  If you want to do a full roller drilling that has no flare at all and just rolls, place the cg in the center of grip and put the pin in the track.  This would have the pin in the 4:30 position for a right hander and in the 7:30 position for a left hander. This info supplied by a former full roller (40 yrs.)

Strikemore- Thanks. Does this drilling you suggested sound like it's close to the rico drilling?

The Rico1 drilling has the pin at grip center and the cg at 4:30 with a balance hole 6 3/4" from the pin on a line through the cg.  --  JohnP
