Full Roller Layout Suggestions
« on: June 08, 2005, 12:02:22 AM »
I have been punching up equipment for a teammate of mine lately.  He is a left-handed full roller, about 18-19 mph and around 400 rpms.  So far I have used two basic layouts (and small variations of these, adjusting the pin to axis distance).
The first layout is the standard "control" full roller layout (shorter pins) with the cg located somewhere near the center of grip and the pin located in the 4 - 5 o'clock location.

The second layout (longer pins) places the pin and cg in line at about 10 o'cock relative to the center of grip.  Pin is placed the desired distance beyond the PAP to create a full roller layout.  For instance, leverage is placed 3 3/8" beyond the PAP or (3 3/8" + 6 3/4")= 10 1/8" from the center of grip.  A weight hole is placed between the pin and cg to bring the ball back to legal static weights.

Are their any alternative layouts for a full roller?  Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks,
S^2
