Fun Pin/CG/MB Placements

I just got this Break S75, and I'm looking for some ideas on possible layouts.  

My style is probably closest to Michael Fagan,  but my backswing is not as high.  I use a modified Sarge Easter, and we have a similar axis of rotation.

Have your pro shop verify thatthe CG shown is truly the cg and if you can get to one, have the ball spun on a determinator to verify the MB placement.

If you are a lefty, this is a golden ball. You old put the pin and mass bias in a strong location and leave the cg in your palm area.

If you are a righthander I'd suggest a pin high maybe like 3" off you PAP with the MB under or slightly left of thumb. This shold put the cg in close to a stacked position and therefore the reaction is able to be modified with a weighthole.

Another option would be the pin high above the bridge with the mass bias under the thumb then a weighthole to adjust ball reaction as desired and to make USBC happy.

Put your favorite layout on the ball and scale it.  Depending on how it balances determine if it can be made legal wth a weight hole. I have had amny balls with cg's like this and as long as they can be made legal with a balance hole they have worked great. Keep in mind that the only major factors are pin and mb. cg only matter as far as needing a balance hole or not

YES that is true but the balance hole can greatly alter the balls motion.

This is why I buy all my stuff from my favorite pro shop even though its a 45 minute or more ride. if I got a ball shipped to him like that he would get me a better one for a righty.

I watched him drill up a jigsaw that was for a righty (hes lefty) and he didnt like it at all. just rolled like a turd because of the weight hole that it needed (doesnt always happen to need a weight hole in a bad spot but his did)... drilled up a new one better for a lefty and the motion was much better. eventually after he made several moves he was able to get lined up and shoot 300.

Im not saying you cant drill this ball to be great... just saying that if I paid full price id rather not end up with the 'possibility' of a big round paper weight.

what's the top weight on it?  This would be a great candidate to try a 100* - 135* drill angle on.  Putting the MB near  your track will greatly smooth out the down lane transition.  I had an old top fuel roto that had the mb near the track and it was amazing on tougher conditions.  I could also create a TON of area on a fresh house shot.

I ended up with more than my fair share of balls like that because when i got a shipment in the shop of a ball i wanted to drill i always took the worst one and saved the better ones for the customer.

That's where I can't complain... I didn't pay for it.  And anyway, its fun to drill up things with interesting layouts.

Doug,

We ended up going pretty close to this... Drilled it Pin above Bridge, with the CG kicked out almost on the PAP, and the MB is in the thumb.  We had to drill out a small weight hole to make it legal, but it rolls great!
