pin position
« on: May 01, 2014, 08:47:14 PM »
Hi, i have picked up a Brutal Nightmare that has approx 2-3" pin however the CG is nearly 2" to the right from lining up with the line between the PIN & MB. I was thinking of drilling the ball with the pin to the left of my middle finger and the MB just under my thumb (maybe a little to the right).  My track runs 2-3" below my thumb, so with the pin getting closer to my track I was wondering what sort of affect this will have on the ball reaction?
I thought it maybe long without much backend, but I'm no expert :)
thanks
brett

On a ball with an Asymmetric core, the CG doesn't have as much bearing on the drilling other than how much side weight there would be after drilling. Your Pro shop guy might have to go deeper with the fingers or thumb to get the extra weight out of the ball.
