Just because you're strong enough to throw 16#, doesn't mean that you should.
Unless you're a limp-wristed fluffer like pchee2
, you don't need a 16# ball to knock down 10 pins.
Most of the pro's nowadays use 15#, even though almost all of them (the men at least) are strong enough to throw 16#.
To answer your question, though, no, your PAP won't change. Depending on your wrist strength, you may or may not lose a few revs, and you may or may not throw the ball a little slower.
Unless there's a good reason, something other than "People tell me...", stay with 15#, and you don't have to worry about it.
