Storm's Vector Layout System
« on: February 09, 2013, 10:35:58 PM »
I'm looking for the version that is compatible with Microsoft Office 2007.  My pro shop operator attended the Sync seminar and doesn't have the correct version on the thumb drive.

Thanks in advance!

The one I received on the thumb drive will only work correctly on the newer versions of excel.  The Ipad/phone app should be out soon, I believe that will be better than having to open up excel every time but we shall see.

Can anyone explain for me what the Vector layout system is? Is it a computer program or some modification of the dual angle layout method?
Thank you for your help

it's basically an excel spreadsheet that gives you layouts based on entered information.  Somewhat similar to the matchmaker process, but more involved due to some of the other information you have to input.  After all information is entered (and you can change it for each ball in their line) its gives you their layout system measurements.

Pretty cool program, the excel spreadsheet is pretty bland (compared to the BluePrint) but i'm hoping the ipad/phone app will get more intense.  I'm looking forward to using this system.

I'd love to crack it so it spit out layouts in degrees... Storm's system works, but it's annoying when nearly every other company out there uses degrees.

As far as getting a different version, if someone will send me the spreadsheet I can convert it into a 2007 edition.

Just need to get a copy!

Tried this got it off BOWLINGBALLEXCANGE.COM but it is not Storms VLS.
I hate ten pins but love the game of bowling with just the right ball to take them out.

I contacted Storm yesterday and they said the VLS will be available to the public June 1st.
