Groove Urethane Problem?

Well got my Groove punched up the other day, used it tonight and every single roll rolled right over my fingers and thumb.

The ball did not have a CG mark on it, so we put it right under my bridge. I track very high literally like 1/2 inch or less from my fingers and thumb. I have always heard of high trackers not drilling with the pin below your fingers because of the possibly of hitting the holes. I have a couple balls with the pin below my bridge and none of them have this problem.

The ball had a high top of 3.5, I don't know if this would mean anything, but looking for some suggestions to try to push that track down. Low weight hole similar to rico drill maybe??

Did you change anything in the way this ball was drilled, especially spans or pitches?  --  JohnP

If the ball did not have a CG mark, what "IT" did you put under the bridge.

The ball has a modified pancake core, so the CG is the only important thing during drilling. The pin, if you found one, is only used to hold the ball during pouring, as far as I know. It is NOT the top of the dynamic core, as on most resin balls. You probably should have had the driller find the CG and used maximum finger and side weight. You did not indicate that you did that, so I assume you didn''t.

With pancake cores, if you use negative side weight, it will raise your track.

No span or pitch changes.

i meant it had not Cg marker, just a pin. We stuck the pin under the bridge, being that ont the box it had 0-1in pin distance, we asswumed it was so short it was not marked.

My driller did say it had alot of finger weight after drilling because of the 3.5 top.

It has a CG marker - on Brunswick balls it is a very tiny punch mark, and with a pancake core it will probably be very close to the pin, maybe even "under" it. 0-1" makes sense and should be expected on such a piece.

I know what marks Brunswick used for there CG marker. It has no punch mark on the ball.
