Need to know more info like what balls you have tried and what was the parts of the lane you did try. Just to give a general suggestion sounds like you should play fairly straight to your breakpoint. You can either a) use a stronger ball and stay straighter say like straight up 10 or 11, or a tiny bit of a head belly like a lay down of 14-15 to 10-9 down lane or b) a weak ball up say like 8 to where if you miss right you still have friction and miss left you hit the oil line.

A ball with a pin-axis drilling? This one rolls very early and in a smooth manner, should help a lot in order to blend over/under problems out.

That's the max early rolling drilling.
There's also the Rico drilling. While it's early and smooth, pin-on-axis is the earliest and smoothest.

"any suggestions for a extreme wet dry condition"

Joe,I had the same trouble as you with wet/dry on my Sunday AM league.I had my Legends WCR plugged and redrilled Rico back in April of this year and I haven't shot less than 626 series since. The Rico drill smoothes out the reaction the of the ball when it hits dry boards. In other words,it won't OVER react and go thru the nose when it hits the dry boards. I highly recommend that drill for that condition.
The more I practice,the luckier I get.

Anyone ever drill a weak ball like a jazz or razyr with a Rico layout. I was considering this just for these types of conditions and was wondering what to expect with a weaker ball.

Don't know about the Jazz but the Rayzr is the wrong type of ball to put a Rico on. It has only 1 recommended drilling which is pin up and over 3/4" from grip center.

most razyr dont come with over a half or 1 inch pin... So you wont really be able do layout it out rico actually. You can with a jazz but the ball is already kind of long.. It may work for you if you changed the cover..

I had a Nkryption Code drilled up yesterday with wet/dry in mind.  2" pin to pap, cg near center of grip, and the mb in my track - I'm a high-tracker (pap = 5 1/4 over, 1" up).

Ball revs up quick with a very smooth, but strong arc.  Took the cover to 500 Abralon.  Very controllable on the wet/dry.  Lost a bit of focus in the 3rd game - still shot 638 last night (remembered something I was suppose to do, instead of getting the ball drilled up...  Ooops...).

Cut your speed down, go straight up the oil line, and you wont have to worry about layouts etc. This condition was my lowest of all my 4 league averages. I do agree that smooth finishes with milder drillings work better. Oh, by the way, Tornado's, Rayzer's can work on this condition. You just need to bump more dry than the guy using more aggressive equipment. It has taken me two years to master a house in my area with this condition. Although it is my worst of 4 averages, more award scores come out of this house in the area !

AWESOME REVS, MOST LANEMASTER BALLS, AMBUSH. I agree with most, particle balls are considerably less flippy. You need a drilling with a lot of midlane. Almost all drillings with the CG/MB in the 45 degree position will smooth out the reaction. YOUR local proshop will be more than helpful. They bowl on the same shot as you, and most will always be more helpful than us. Even we though we try.

we are experiencing this as I type in my friday night league. 2nd game doubles actual was only 480 handicap was 508. this is by far one of the hardest leagues in my area. it nothin like one of our tuesday night leagues where anybody that's a decent bowler can average 230. no one in that leagues ever wins money in big tourneys in michigan.

It depends on how you choose to play the condition.

If you want to play in the oil, the 2 X 2 is a great layout or the Rico. Either allows the ball to lose energy to not be so responsive or sensitive to the oil or friction.

If you want to play the friction, go with a layout with the pin farther from your PAP, closer to 5 1/2-5 3/4" above and then either using an asymmetrical core ball and placing the PSA at 45 degrees or placing a weight hole down the VAL, 2 1/4" to smooth out back end over reaction.

Also adjusting surface to help blend out.
