Title: Help! What type of drilling?
Post by: kingswingin on February 23, 2004, 08:22:21 PM
I just picked up a Nu-Line VIRUS,  but couldn't get 2-3" pin out as I requested.  The only ball they had left was 0"-1"... 3¼ top weight.  My last two balls have been drilled basically label leverage, with a good skid/snap reaction (Cuda/C and Wicked BRT).  Any idea what would be a good layout with that little pin out?

I like throwing out over the 2nd arrow, or one board to the right side, push out to about 7-8 board and flip.  I prefer more of a skid/snap reaction to a long arc...

Also - Phatdon, I'm new to these boards and I'm just learning a lot of the technical stuff... what else should I put in my profile?

with a short pin it will be hard to get any skid/snap out of the ball at all. you might want to just sell it and pick up something designed for that type of reaction. I would suggest a silver streak pearl, green gargoyle, or even a chrome/yellow power groove or a sonic boom. the last two you can get at www.buddiesproshop.com for $50 and $68 respectively.
