Question on C.G Axis layout
« on: October 04, 2004, 06:16:21 AM »
Ok, Assuiming I put the C.G on my PAP with the weighthole through it, what eould the differences be if I put the pin next to the ring finger, under the ring finger, or over the ring finger?  FYI, my PAP is 4 1/2 over, 1/8th up, I have two balls, one with a 4 1/2 inch pin, one with 3 5/8 inch pin

With the cg on your PAP, you should get a smoother break point and very controlled backend reaction.  The placement of the pin (relative to your fingers) will affect the length you get out of the ball before the break point.  Pin below the fingers will give earliest reaction, next to fingers will medium reaction, and above fingers will give latest reaaction.

As a side note...I was always taught that as a rule of thumb:  For an axis leverage drilling one should keep the pin about the PAP / Ring Finger line.
