Title: Help needed with XY Jig
Post by: johns811 on April 30, 2005, 07:10:18 AM
I picked up a used Rockwell with an XY jig. I userstand the pitch settings but am unclear on how to position the ball in jig.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

Are you referring to the orientation of the ball within the jig?  If so, I try to position the ball such that the centerline as marked on the ball is parallel to a line extending from the base of the press through the center of the jig.

Hope this helps.

Right, the orientation of the ball. That helps, thanks.
