HOLE questions? RICO hole, MOtion hole, double thumb hole?
« on: January 23, 2017, 08:55:53 PM »
Is it appropriate or effective to use MO's MOtion 10" hole on an asymmetrical ball?
Is it appropriate or effective to use the double thumb on a symmetrical ball?

On Ric Hamlin's RICO layout how does the weight hole at 6 and 3/4" from the pin in the palm, at a 45 degree angle from the pin affect ball motion as opposed to the MOtion hole and the double thumb weight hole?

I am trying to learn here.  Thank you for any reply posts.

From what i understand, Motion Holes on symmetric work best.
Double Thumb drilling on Asyms for best results.
I dont think you can do a Motion Hole on Asyms effectively or i havent heard anything lately.

I agree with Freak. In the beginning, motion holes were mentioned for both asymmetric and symmetric pieces. However, there was substantial talk subsequently that backed away from the the guaranteed effectiveness of the Motion Hole on asymmetric equipment.

The RICO drilling is exact from from Ric mentioned before in other topics he's chimed in on.  If I recall, its best benefited symmetrical balls. Mo doesn't visit this site since he has the other site, and he has discussed extensively about the MOtion hole with regards to symmetrical and asymmetrical use. I'd suggest if you haven't done this yet, is to go over to the other site and ask specifics there about the MOtion hole if you have more specific questions about it.
