Help re-layout my Cell
« on: June 09, 2008, 11:48:46 AM »
Let me start by saying that I love this ball and in it's present configuration it's pretty consistant for me.  However it was drilled by a less than great driller, and I now know that it at least has too much finger weight if not other problems.  As I said before this layout is very consistant, but nowhere near the reaction that I see others getting out of their Cell's.  So the pics are at  http://s188.photobucket.com/albums/z88/Smokey469/ gimme some suggestions...  btw I'm RH, 15-16 mph, med track, tweener, PAP 5"x1"up

Yes, the ball is not legal by the looks of it. Way too much side and probably close to too much finger weight also. The ball is probably going too long now, reacting too late. An extra hole will make the ball start hooking sooner, thus making it stronger down the lane. Good luck. =:^D

Well ball is fixed now, it took a HUGE weight hole(2.5" deep and bigger than my thumb) just outside and below the cg to get it legal, but it's like a whole new ball.  Threw a game with it on the Scorpion and the backend was drastically different!  So thanks for all the help guys

Considering the ball wasn't even drilled legally before, it might not be a bad idea to make sure your x-hole isn't illegally large!    Good to hear it is working better now
