Hi all!
I'm a 3/4 roller and have a Target Zone (my only spare ball) that is about 10 months old. After one season and 4 tournaments, the cover is chipping away right below the thumb slug. I know it's due to rolling over the thumbhole, and on about 40% of my spare shots you can clearly hear about 10 thumps before it reaches the 10 pin. Currently, it has about a 1/8" gap between the bottom of the slug and the cover, and there are about 3 chunks inside that gap that look ready to fall out. Is it possible to get the thumb redrilled so that it won't roll over the thumb on its way down the lane, or am I better off replacing it?
