I got a pioneer with a top weight of only 1.76 oz. Is there anyway to drill it so it will have a normal reaction? I was hoping to drill is "sharp break" from the Morich website, but with that top I don't know what it will do. Any sugestions? Please help!

I agree with Jabroni.
HOWEVER, if you are still worried, just drill the holes more shallow, that will save you some top weight. It will still be lower than most of your other equipment though.

To the above post of drilling the holes shallow, it really dosn't matter. Weight holes. Just use weight holes. If you use a weight hole, and just pitch it towards the bottom og the ball when you drill it, it will take out bottom weight. This means that it will take out bottom weight and give a bit more top weight. My Throttle Up i got used had 0 top weight after i weighted it up. So i took a BIG drill bit and punched a 3 inch hole into it pitched to the bottom of the ball. Not i have about 2 ounces of top weight

Excuse my ignorance please but can soebody explain the difference in reaction/hitting power between a ball with a low topweight and one with ..say 2 oz top?

If you think you can,or
you think you can't,

kid
drilling the holes shallower will make a difference-
a huge difference-NO, but enough to do it
lets say
you only drill fingers 1 1/8 inch deep(instead of 1 3/4)and the thumb 2 1/2 inches (instead of 2 3/4-3) explainn to me how it wouldnt have a higher top weight than it normally would have.
i use this with high top wieght balls
drill fingers to 2 1/2 inches and thumb to 3 or more and it gets some of the extra top weight out

For maximum backend with low top weights, max out the finger and side wieght, i.e. 3/4 finger, 3/4 side. By doing this, you will eliminate possible roll out and not as good pin carry, because of the bottom weight you'll probably end up with. =:^D
