Help with Spit Fire Layout
« on: December 07, 2006, 11:21:08 AM »
Okay, so I was looking for a layout for a storm Spit Fire (my stats are in my profile).  I'm not too knowledgable with bowling layouts yet, so I thought I would ask.

First, stats on the Spit Fire (15#).

Looking to get a medium oil reaction (I was thinking from about 14-15 at the arrows to 5-7 at about 40ft.  However, I have an X Factor that goes similiar, but it's too angular for me, so I was looking for about the same amount of hook, but a more rolly, arcing reaction, but I don't want it to go too early, I'm looking for some versatility out of this ball.  Do you guys have any suggestions?

i dont get something if u dont want it to roll early but u do want it to have the same amount of hook, then the reaction will be pretty angular, which is what u say u have with the x factor.

I said no to go TOO early.  I throw the ball fairly slow and I'm looking to mainly use this on medium oil, so I need a layout that will get downlane without making and early turn and running out of gas.  I still need it to get there, I just want to get some of the sharpness out of the hook.
