OK... I have to ask this question... future ball purchases could be influenced...

What are the real differences between balls that have pins closer to the center of gravity and pins farther away?  I have a ball now with a 4-1/2 pin out where the pin is above ring finger and CG is below the centerline in the grip.  How would this compare with, say, a 2 inch pin drilled with pin below ring and CG at midline, or 2 inch pin drilled leverage?

Also, on the forum about a week ago someone mentioned something about drilling a ball with a 9-1/2 pin!  What are the implications of these extraordinarily long pins?  Are there options with these?
