Title: High rev bowlers and reverse finger pitch?
Post by: chitown on April 10, 2006, 03:40:00 PM
Are there any high rev bowlers out there that went from forward finger pitch to reverse?  If so did you loose any revs by doing this?  How much reverse did you go?

I have reverse in my finger and i found that it helps me get out of the ball a lot better.  I promotes getting out of the ball. I have definitely help me not hit up on the ball. Although i might have lost a rev or two nothing that made a huge difference.  If anything it has helped my control and I feel like it has made me just that much better.

Thumb: 5/8 reverse 1/8 lft.
Middle finger: 3/8 reverse 5/16 lft
Ring finger: 5/8 reverse 9/16 rt.
Reverse always away from palm
Now having said that it's what i've been told is a squezzers pitch, come out of the ball very easily and still have all the revs as I did before 400-450. Never had any pain since going to the pitches.

ring finger 1/8 reverse 3/8rt
middle finger 1/8 reverse 3/8lft
thumb 1/16 reverse 1/16 rt

and just went back to no inserts and like said before lost a little revs(still alot of hand) and gained a little more control......

It looks to me like you have set up your question to get the answers you want..go reread your question and then the expectation you put on the question.

Many others do that on this site too!  I'm sure I have also.

Span
4 11/16 ring pitch 5/16 forward and 7/16left and 10th frame 1/4 inch powerlifts
4 19/32 middle pitch 5/8 forward and 7/16 right and 10th frame 1/4 inch powerlifts
Thumb 1/8 left F/r = 0.

Sorry...wrong answer.

PS as my forward has incresed my rev rate has gone up 35 rpm for every 16th forward added to my ring finger.  Increased from 325 to 670 with just a 5/8 inch change...easy!
