ball layout questions
« on: August 29, 2008, 02:31:14 PM »
I think I know the answers to these but I'm asking to just confirm I'm right.
All questions are about how these things affect the ball's behavior.

1. PAP to Pin distance, determines what?

2. Pin above or Pin below the fingers drillings, determines what?

3. The angular relationship between a line drawn thru the PAP & Pin versus a line thru the Pin & CG or MB, determines what?

4. Does the Pin length affect how a ball performs or is the different lengths only intended to aid whatever drilling you're looking to put in the ball?

1. PAP to Pin distance. The greater the distance, does what?

3. Angular relationship. More angle does what?

Can it also be said that pin length not only determines flare potential but how soon the ball rolls?

I agree with what BrunsRico has said, but I would state the pin to PAP information a little differently.  The pin to PAP distance determines the percentage of the flare potential of the ball that is realized.  --  JohnP

whether the pin is up or down will help determine that. and your talkin about pin from pap distance right?
