Title: hook/set layouts
Post by: bestbudzs24 on October 28, 2009, 05:25:01 PM
is there a certain type(s) of layout that promotes this kinda ball reaction. over the past few weeks it seems like i am coming in just a pinch high to the pocket. and someone mentioned trying a hook/set layout. seems like it would be very helpful to my game. any info would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Put the mb near the PAP, like a 10-20* layout.

It all depends on your conditions that ur bowling on, as well as the surface of the ball that ur using, I believe.

For instance, with most newer, stronger equipment, a stacked 4x4 layout just gives you a nice strong arc on most conditions. But put this same layout on a urethane ball, on second shift conditions, and ur likely to see that hook/set look that ur asking about. So it just depends....
