« on: November 03, 2009, 06:20:38 AM »
I was just wondering if anyone has had any good or bad experiences drilling a ball with 1 oz top weight?

Any comments would be appreciated..

i drilled a gravity shift xblem with 0.62 top weight... the pin and cg are bout 10" apart. put pin 2" above my fingers and key next to my thumb(right side of thumb) cg is bout 4" or so past the key.
is goes kinda long, not real snappy. its not a ball i can really swing but works awsome on most house shots.  on a oily lanes i can move right and really strap it, the ball does like oil too....   hope this helps

Before drilling, confirm the cg location and if it's not right recheck the top weight based on the correct cg.  --  JohnP
