hey guys,
I'm just startin out at drilling bowling balls,
and i wanted to know what hole do u drill first??
I'm starting to do the thumb first and then work out the fingers individually, i decided to do this cause i figured if i stuff up the thumbs location then i can compensate with the fingers last....
any thoughts greatly apprcieated

I always start with the middle finger, followed by the ring finger and then the thumb last. I do thi for one main reason. After the two fingers are drilled, I go back with my span guage and remeasure my span and to make sure my thumb line is still centered. If you happen to make a 1/32" variance in one of the finger holes for whatever reason, you can always recenter the thumb and make it perfect.

I do the fingers for the same reason, only I start with the ring. It's amazing, how quick you can pount out balls, only because you really dont have to be perfect. I only take my time for high end customers, my boss, and myself. Otherwise, they don't notice the difference.
