We used to use alot of rev leverage type drills to control the back ends. Make the ball burn up some energy sooner, so the ball would not release it ALL at the break. Track Triton Heat was awesome drilled this way for many people.
Don't use it so much anymore, the balls are stronger and pins closer to leverage burn up too fast. The covers are more versatile today than ever, most of the time you can calm the break point by lightly scuffing your back flares with some scotch brite.
