« on: June 27, 2010, 10:40:26 AM »
Just curious. I have noticed lately i have been loosing the ball in the fingers. My driller currently has me at 3/8 reverse in both fingers. I use power lifts also. My fingers are pretty flexible and i just don't know where to go. any advice? please help!!

Are your finger pitches 3/8 reverse after P/O grips installed, or prior? P/O grips add 1/4 forward pitch. So, it could be either 1/8 reverse, or 3/8 reverse. Even if it is 3/8 reverse, today''s pro shop classes teach the use of some reverse pitch in the fingers to promote a more relaxed grip, and to keep the bowler from hitting up on the ball during release.

Could it be as simple as finger grips that are too large?

I had power lifts in all my balls now. prior to this my ring finger has been bothering me but more after power lifts were changed about a month ago. i finally told my friend about it who owns the shop. he adjusted the pitch to 1/4 forward. picked it up today but haven't tried it yet. it feels ok when i held it but haven't tried throwing it. he told me if still hurst he can adjust it 3/8?! so i hope 1/4 will help. might throw a game tomorrow or something.

It depends on the brand. Vise yes, Turbo no. The Turbo Quad Power oval is 1/8 forward pitch.
