for a relax forward thumb pitch, how much reverse pitch for the finger that you feel is the most comfortable and effective ? mine is thumb 1/4 forword and 3/8 reverse on both with 4 1/4 cut to cut span.

One more time, proper finger pitch is dependent on the flexibility of the first finger joint.  A flexible joint will need 0 pitch.  An inflexible joint may need as much as 3/4 reverse pitch.  What loose needs has no bearing on what lane1 needs.  --  JohnP

There is a difference between needs and wants......

I use 3/4 reverse on both fingers, with 3/8 laterals, I'm lazy.......

With that much reverse in fingers, I would be constantly squeezing the ball to keep from dropping it. In fact I have already tried that last year and the ball hit like a bag of mashed potatoes. Probably because I had to squeeze it some. I tried forward pitch on the thumb with these reverse finger pitches and with a thumb a bit on the stiff side, I was limited to how much forward pitch I could use.
