It's interesting you bring this up. We just got a new press in our shop and when browsing through the set of new bits, I pulled the plug cutter out, and found the blade actually has rounded edges. I mean, its obviously brand new, but it is not sharp at all. The edges are literally rounded. We got this press from innovative, where as our other came from jayhawk, and their plug cutter is razor sharp. The new one cuts slugs fine, but have yet to use it for actually cutting plug. I have never seen one like this, but I am guessing it is to help prevent from cutting into the ball, considering it still cuts slugs fine.
