Multiple drillings
« on: June 19, 2005, 08:13:09 AM »
Hi guys!
i'm a newbie bowler, been bowling for about 4 months now.
I was wondering if having a ball redrilled multiple times is bad, and if it would affect the ball alot.  i ask this because i want to buy some used balls off of other people have have it redrilled for me.
Thanks!

When you plugg and redrill a ball you just add some or a coupple of oz to the total weight of the ball. It´s not bad to redrill a ball, except it´s not looks as good as a new ball..but that dosen´t matter

There will be a point, number of drills, that the ball might not react like it should, but that very well might be 10-20 drills, hard to say.

Looks, that's a different thing, the ball will not "look as pretty..as good" as it did new, but ya know...it's a ball you throw down at some pins, looks are NOT why I buy a ball.

Agree....looks do matter to some, but knocking down all the pins, it could be a painted BOZO the Clown ball, if I got 300's out of it...I'd be one proud guy !

ah i see.. yeah looks aren't too important to me at the moment.. im just trying to up my game. Thanks for the input guys!

btw.. by "plug in your track" do you mean the previous person's thumbhole being where my ball spins on? so if my thumbhole is near his i should be ok?

NOTE: redrilling a ball multiple times is ok to do. One warning, if therer are many plug marks in your track area, and when i say many i mean like 5 or so, then this might have an affect on preformance. But other than that, the only affect plugging and redrilling does is take a little weight out of the weight block if u drill into it.
