Title: How to drill my Thunder Road Pearl

I have one with a short pin (right under two inches) with a top weight at 2 1/2 ounces.  What would be the best layout for backend? I track fairly high so pin under my fingers is not so good. Thanks for any input!!!!!

well I would do something like a stacked leverage drill with the pin next to (but not under) your ring finger and the cg directly under it or just a hair more off to the right (vise versa for left handed).  So the pin would approxamently be about 1" out and the cg would be about 2-3" out. hope that helps.

Btw, that drill will most likely need a balance hole.

If you want length and backend, I would stay away from stacked leverage.  I'd put the pin at 4.5-5" from your PAP (probably over your ring finger or bridge) and the CG stacked below or just a little right.  Some people even like to put the pin in the ring finger.  Since it's drilled out, it won't crack from being too close to a finger hole.  Should still be in the flare safe zone and help to lower the CG a bit.

Measure about 1 1/2 inches straight across from the upper middle part of the thumb hole, and put the CG there, then make sure the pin is straight up from that....  just make sure the cg isnt below the thumb....Should produce a smooth, even rolling ball, with a decent flop on the backend, especially if they are fresh...hope it helps

I have an Inferno like that and it lives for backend.....
