OK so I drilled another Ultimate up with the pin under the fingers about 5 1/4 inches from my PAP with the cg about 75 degrees down near the thumb.
This ball rolls ok, pretty predictable as I wanted but it hardly flares at all. I'm not one to complain and I'm not an idiot who just wants to see loads of lines on the ball, I just want to know if the performance will be affected.
There is more or less ONE oil track around the ball, with a small amount of back-end flare visible beyond it. Its like you would expect to see on a spare ball.
Is this going to pose a problem for me, if I wanted to use this on a bit of oil? I wanted it to be even, and it is, but I'm worried my carry will be really bad if the ball doesn't flare and faces the pocket the wrong way. I haven't used it much yet so haven't really checked out its performance over more than about 6 games practice where it performed ok, but wasn't well matched to the pattern.
1. Is this a problem?
2. How do I increase the flare seperation to solve the problem, if it is one?
Many thanks in anticipation.
