Insert question
« on: September 11, 2013, 02:46:27 PM »
I have gotten a couple of used balls where the guy had huge fingers and the insert holes are a little too big for my inserts because of it. If I glue mine in the way it sits, they will not reach all sides of the hole.

Is there any type of quick fix to this problem? I will sell it before I plug it.

If your talking inserts bigger than 13/16 the make a reducing sleeve to take the hole from 1 1/32 to 31/32

Vise makes a sleeve they use for vacu-grips and you can get the finger slugs. They are like thumb slugs, but smaller and re-drill them to the 31/32 size. The larger grips as stated are 1-1/32. I have glued thin plastic strips into the holes instead of tape to tighten up the grips. Lots of options without replugging, but plugging may be easier. Just my $.02, Bruce

Or treat it like a vacu-grip, glue just the sides or the sides and the front.  --  JohnP

If you don't have any vacu-grip sleeves, you can cut an IT top sleeve to make it work.  i did this for a customer with the same problem just the other day.
