End Mill drill bits
« on: April 23, 2015, 01:44:48 PM »
I am wanting to try some end mill drill bits and was curious what brand or what manufacturer is reasonably priced.  I am currently using the Jayhawk straight shank drill bits, just wanted to see the difference in the cut.

The only use you could have for end mill bits is ovaling a hole.  Stick with your regular drill bits for actual drilling

I am wanting them to oval my thumb.  I would only need to get one drill bit, just not familiar enough with them to know where to order them.

You can get them from a machine shop supply company.  Make sure the length is long enough.  There really is no comparison when using them to cut an oval vs. a regular bit.
