Such as oval thumb users(like myself). I tried something like this a few years back, and couldn't release cleanly with the second grip. If you have a round thumb, though, this should work fine.

THIS IS GARBAGE AND UNFAIR TO ALL NO THUMB BOWLERS! Using a thumb is CHEATING and this is just another dirty cheating layout for these thumb users.

There now all of you thumb bowlers know how us no thumb or two handed bowlers feel. (add being lefty to the mix and it's even worse.)

Great idea. I used to drill for a no thumber where I would drill 3 holes pretty much in a triangle that resulted in a 4 1/2" pin next to the ring. shifting it one way would make it an almost 6 1/2" pin high for the breakdown, and the other shift would make it like a 6" pin under layout.

The guy quit bowling but had good success with the 3 balls I drilled him and a lot of 300s.

This is cool, but what about a high track guy like me that's 5 1/4 -> x 3/4 ^ ? Is there a way to not get it to thump the hole left of the middle?

A stronger pin placement will help, the ball flares away from the grip, so if it hits a hole, it would only be for a revolution or 2.

DuoGrip is an innovative bowling ball drilling method that allows for 2 layouts to be implemented in the same bowling ball. This method results in an approx 1" difference in pin to PAP distance, while minimally impacting feel. I thought you must be able to demonstrate that you can put your fingers in all of the finger holes at the same time?

ALSO - my track is high, likely to hit the LEFT finger hole if i was using center and right...

NOTE:  Not trying to diss your system, in fact I would like to be able to have the capacity to change ball motion like that - just wondering if there is a key to making it work for high track bowlers?

Here's the rule, from the Equipment Specifications Manual:

"Holes or indentations for gripping purposes shall not exceed five and shall be limited to one for each finger and one for the thumb, all for the same hand. The player is not required to use all of the finger holes in any specific delivery, but they must be able to demonstrate, with the same hand, that each hole can be used simultaneously for gripping purposes. Any thumb hole that is not used with the thumb inserted during the approach would be classified as a balance hole."

With the Duo Grip you should be able to grip with the index, middle, and ring fingers at the same time well enough to throw a few shots.  --  JohnP
