Inverted Track - Need Recomended drillings
« on: March 14, 2004, 10:10:33 PM »
I have a few questions about what drillings I should use.  I have been away from being serious about the game and am looking to rebuild my arsenal.

Stats:
PAP 5.5 over 0.5 down
Speed: 19 - 20 MPH
Axis Rotation: 45 degrees
Rev Rate: 450 RPM (usually 18 - 20 Revs)

I need a 4 ball arsenal (I dont use a plastic for spares as I cna throw straight)  I want 4 balls that I can use for various house shots.

If you all can post ball, surface, drill pattern I would appreciate it.  I have had the most success with pin to pap distances of 5.

I have an inverted track and use just about any drilling i want.  I did go to forward pitch on the thumb and reverse on fingers to reduce over-hit.

with your revs I would go with:

Controlled arc ball:
a 5" pin in ring or under 105 deg layout on a low rg ball. look for a 2: pin and low top wt. drill the fingers deep to remove wt.
solid resin.

snappy layout for real deep
5 x 4.5 pin up. pearl resin high RG

wet dry:
5 x 3 med load med RG particle. or a pearl particle.

Long heavy oil . pin 1" above grip line 4.5" x 4. med to high load particel.

Just what I would have for an all purpose line up.
