Title: Is there a difference
Post by: RWOOD300 on December 28, 2003, 07:55:19 PM
Is there a differecne in using grips or no grips I have heard that by using grips you don't grab the ball as much and this allows for more accuracy

Thank you for any input

I have no clue, though I would like to try a ball with no grips sometime

I would say that using grips gives you more hit on the ball, which will make it hook more on the backend/overall. Usually you will get less hook and a smoother transition off the dry when not using grips. This is my experience. =:^D

Grips are oK as long as you stick with the straight oval types. Once you use grips with lift. They change the original pitch of your fingers. Let's save you have a reverse pitch of 1/8 and then use a power oval with lift. Your pitch change from 1/8 to zero. If forward then it changes to 1/4. They provide comfort and a simple way to change your pitch.
